Wellness in living
Just attended a course yesterday and a portion of it was on Wellness in living. Thought I should share it with everyone. For those who are on shfit work systems, constantly gotta work late and party goers, this is apparently not for you as you will see later. But well, no harm knowing. Or perhaps, you already do know it, so let's just take it as a recap.
-
Daily schedule
4am - 8am: Internal Body Cleansing period. No food should be consumed during this period (except for juices), though water are highly recommended. For those who wake up before 8am, its recommended that you take 4 glasses of water to facilitate this cleansing period.
-
8am-4pm: Energy Expansion period. This is the time when your body needs a lot of energy to go on its daily task. Carbohydrates should be taken during this period. Proteins which required much energy to digest are not recommended, though you can definitely take non-meat based proteins (i.e. eggs, nuts, tofu etc).
-
4pm-8pm: Nutrients absorption period. This is a time when you should reduce intake of Carbohydrates to its minimum. This is a good time to take in proteins (all forms)
-
8pm onwards: Strictly no consumption of food as you are about to sleep and should not keep your internal organs working hard to digest as you sleep. Avoid drinking too much water before bed as it would give you an interrupted sleep, which you would not be very well rested.
-
10pm-2am: Body repairing period. This is a time when your body goes into its natural repairing stage. Everyone should be sleeping during this period. If you have unfinished work, it is recommended that you go to sleep during this period and wake up after 2am to continue your work.
-
Generally, avoid taking too much water and sodium (salt) before sleeping time as this would once again keep your body working and it would not be well rested.
-
One should also not take too long a nap in the afternoon. If it is absolutely necessary, keep afternoon nap to at most 1 hour. Else, you would end up in the situation where you will wake up groggy and find it difficult to go to sleep at night, which of course is undesirable.
-
Well, this is it. Hope it would be helpful for those who can lead such a sedated lifestyle. I for one, would defintiely not be able to do it due to my work and my current lifestyle, so I can't tell you exactly whether it would work a not. However, looking at my trainer yesterday, who was a ladies in her early fifties with the looks and feel of a late thirties, I'am sure her theory is not that much flawed. For those who wants to look good and feel good, give it a try!
